Meet Our President and CEO
Accessible Web Studio is led by its original founder Jadwiga A. Carlson. Below is a brief description of Jadwiga’s over 20−year career.
Jadwiga graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Southern Illinois State University in 1988.
Jadwiga worked as a software developer on award winning products such as FoxPro, HyperTerminal, and DropChute for Fox Software and Hilgraeve, Inc. respectively for over 10 years, programmed extensively in C and C++ under Windows and OS/2 platforms and has a keen eye for designing interfaces and usability issues.
Jadwiga graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University in 2003. For her Master’s project, she implemented a virtual machine for the MIPS processor. The MIPS processor, designed in 1984 by researchers at Stanford University, is a RISC processor. Compared with their CISC counterparts (such as the Intel Pentium processors), RISC processors typically support fewer instructions.
She currently holds a full time instructor position at Bowling Green State University in the Computer Science Department.
